11 months

Ok so apparently I haven't been paying attention to the date lately and my little monkey turned 11 months old this past weekend! It happened so fast I didn't even realize it! Where did last month go? Is Christmas really next week?
So what is my little monkey up to these days?
  • She is still not walking by herself but she is doing a great job of standing alone! She can go from sitting on the floor to standing without pulling up on anything.
  • She is talking alot more! She loves saying "no, no; MaMa; Dada; and night, night" along with several other words that we just can't understand yet.
  • She has two new teeth peeking through on the top!
  • I think I finally have meal time figured out with her. She has been such a picky eater! I discovered Yo-Baby yogurt and it is her favorite! I have to mix fruits and vegetables with it but as long as she can taste the yogurt and it's right out of the fridge she loves it. (No warmed up baby food for her! She has to have it cold.)
  • She can wear shoes! YAY! I have found two pair that will actually fit on her chunky little foot. But no socks and shoes at the same time. We aren't quite there yet. I am hoping when she starts walking her feet will thin out a little. These little brown shoes are my favorite. They squeak each time she steps. I have a feeling once she is walking everywhere, Daddy is going to take out the squeakers.
  • She also got to experience how crazy the holidays can be when we went home for Thanksgiving. She got to meet several family members that she had not met yet. We can't wait to see everyone again at Christmas!
  • One of her favorite things to do lately has been shopping. This child loves to ride around in a buggy or her stroller holding some clothes on a hanger. She wants something in each hand. She is such a fun shopping buddy!
  • She experienced snow for the first time and was amazed!

Christmas came early!

This past weekend when my parents came down, they brought Audrey Claire's Christmas present. They knew when we go to their house for Christmas we wouldn't have room in the car to bring it back so they just had to give it to her early! So what does a little girl like AC ask grandparents to get her for Christmas you ask? A "little red wagon" of course! And let me tell you my child absolutely LOVES her wagon. I think she would have stayed in it the entire weekend if we'd let her. She just sits back in it and holds on while you pull her everywhere. If you stop for any reason, she kicks her feet telling you to GO! Other than that, she is so calm while riding! Seth and I kept saying to one another that we have never seen her so calm and relaxed. The first picture is a great example of how she was most of the time.
You may or may not have noticed the Christmas characters sitting in the wagon with her. They all sing and dance when you turn them on. As annoying as they can get (and trust me, they can get pretty annoying) she LOVES them too. She wants them constantly running. All of them. At the same time. Did I mention how annoying they can be? I videoed her humming with them and will post it soon!
After her nap on Saturday it didn't take her long to find the wagon and she was whining and pointing to it. Which means "I want to ride and I want to ride now!" So I laid the seats down and she laid in it about 15 minutes while we walked around the house. (It was raining outside so we couldn't go out.) It was so funny how still she was!
We can't wait for all this rain to leave so we can get outside and ride!

Just Text Me

I just thought I would share some cute pictures of my little monkey from this morning. She is growing up SO fast and learning new things everyday. Several times a day I ask myself "Who is this big kid? Where is my baby?"
Anyway, She's had a love for phones for a while but now she is looking past the flashy lights and sounds and knows what it's actually used for. Yesterday she picked up a phone and put it right up to her ear like she was talking on it. Here she was this morning "texting" somebody. You would think that since her daddy works for a cell phone company that she would have her own phone by now. Maybe next year:)

Random pictures

Here are some random pictures from the past week!

Just woke up from a nap. CRAZY hair!
My cousin Jackie came down to visit for a few days! There was a dog behind me so this is the best I could do getting AC to look at me!
This is what happens a lot when she is told "No, No". She throws herself down on the floor crying.
After playing in the snow, she was a tired baby. For several minutes, she just laid like this watching her Praise Baby movie while I cooked breakfast.

My Little Snow Bunny

We heard snow in the weather forecast all week but never thought it would actually do it. Then last night we started seeing Facebook status updates saying it was snowing in Brookhaven and Crystal Springs but we were only seeing rain here in Hattiesburg. We decided to check outside one more time just in case the rain turned into snow and it had! We were so excited to see snow that I immediately grabbed the camera and took AC outside to feel it and take a picture. You can barely see little snowflakes in the picture but I promise they are there!
When we came back inside to look at the pictures, I realized my child had no socks on! Guess I was a little too excited. So I made sure to do better this morning when we went out to play. She was all bundled up and ready to play!
Here's what we saw right before going to bed. I LOVED it!
First time seeing and feeling snow! YAY!!!
I just had to take her glove off so she could really feel it.
She was amazed and wouldn't look at the camera!
It is cold out here Mommy!

Love the Baby

Yesterday while Audrey Claire and I were playing, we found her baby doll. I showed her how to "love the baby" and she immediately wrapped her arms around it. I guess even baby girls as young as her have "motherly instincts". And boy did they kick in. It was like she knew exactly how to handle a baby. I thought it was precious and caught her doing it again tonight! Before you watch the video let me say one thing... PLEASE excuse my oh-so county accent. I mean did I really make the word "awe" a two syllable word? Anyway, just ignore me and pay attention to the cute little baby:)
video
I hope she loves baby dolls as much as I did when I was little. I've been wandering what to get her for Christmas and her birthday and I think I figured it out tonight.

Thanksgiving

We had such a great and busy Thanksgiving! Audrey Claire got to see all of her grandparents and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. We enjoyed visiting with family in Jackson, Crystal Springs, Wesson and Brookhaven. Here are a few pictures from our two day journey home:

Audrey Claire and Uncle Justin
Audrey Claire and Pawpaw Lang (my mom's dad)
My mom's brother, Steve, with his wife Cheryl and daughter Brookley. Not sure where their son Tyler was.
They loved playing with each other!
She loves walking behind something. And please notice we have shoes on! YAY!!!!

Here is Seth, Mr. Donnie (Seth's dad) and Mawmaw June (Mr. Donnie's mom)

When we went to see GiGi's side of the family, there was a cute little boy there named Ryan. He loved playing with Audrey Claire. She was not so sure about him though. It took her a while to warm up to him.

GiGi gave her a toy to play with but she preferred the wipe holder.
More new cousins she had never met. These little girls belong to one of Seth's cousins. They are absolutely beautiful little girls!
She had a love/hate relationship with this puppy. She really wanted to touch it and get close to it but when it would get in her face, she didn't like it.
I can't tell you how many times I caught her doing this while we were gone...
I found this one on my camera. My mom must have taken it. Looks like she was helping ReRe clean like she helps Mommy.
Showing off her new dresses. She LOVED shopping for them. She had a fit anytime I took something away from her. She has a love for beautiful clothes.
As usual, we didn't get a picture with everyone! We were on the go so much while we were home that sometimes I just forgot to get the camera out of the car! We are really excited about Christmas and I promise to take more pictures then!!
