MIA

I've been on an "unofficial" blogging break for the last few days. Now I am declaring it an "official" one. We've been extremely busy and honestly, I just haven't had time. I have pictures from this past week that I haven't even had time to transfer to the computer. Hopefully by the middle of next week I will be back. Check back then!

Just Drawing

As I've mentioned before, Audrey Claire loves to draw! The other day, I was doing some things around the house and noticed she was way to quiet. All mothers of young children know this is never a good sign. When I got to her, here's what I found~

VBS

This week we've been participating in Vacation Bible School at our church. That would be the main reason you haven't heard from me this week! A friend and I are co-directors for Pre-K. We've had about 60 kids each day. Even though we have some amazing workers, I come home each day completely exhausted. Our routine has pretty much been get up, go to church, come home, nap, do chores, eat supper, then bedtime again. So I haven't taken many pictures at all. Yesterday however, we had a few special guests at VBS so I made sure to take my camera. Our theme has been Saddle Ridge Ranch and yesterday we had pony rides! I got Audrey Claire out of her class for a little while to go see them. I must say she did much better than I thought she would. She wouldn't sit or ride on the big one but she actually walked up to Daffy, the smallest one, and petted her!

After visiting with the ponies, we went inside for the remainder of the day. Our friend, Lydia, is teaching art for us so we hung out in her room. Audrey Claire found herself an empty chair and joined in with the big kids. She loved the glue sticks!

Wordless Wednesday

Playing in the Water

So this post is only a week late but better late than never right? Anyway, last Saturday Jude and Drew came over to play in the water with Audrey Claire. I set up a sprinkler, the water table and a splash mat for them to play in. They had a blast getting soaking wet!

Uh-oh

Last night, Audrey Claire and Seth were playing after supper. I wish I could say they both had a great time. However, it didn't end very good for my sweet baby girl. She tripped and on the way to the floor, her face hit a chair. I have never heard her cry like she did so I knew something was wrong. Sure enough, her lip was busted and bleeding. After we all got ourselves together, we had to go to church for a little while. Since she was feeling better, I couldn't resist a few pictures of her big lip!

We're Back!

Despite the circumstances, we enjoyed our trip home this past weekend. We were able to visit with lots of family on both sides. Audrey Claire had the best time showing off all her new tricks and just getting spoiled by grandparents. You can see by her face in these pictures just how much fun she had...
