Friends in McComb

Yesterday Audrey Claire and I headed to McComb to visit with my friend Jessica and her new baby Warren. He was born right before Christmas and we just now got a chance to go visit. I was really excited to get to hold a little baby and he was so sweet! Jessica and I grew up together and it was really weird to sit around and talk about our KIDS. It's still hard to believe we're old enough to have babies.

Looks like they're holding hands here-
While in McComb, we decided to go down the road to Summit and surprise Graypop (Seth's grandfather) at work. Boy was he surprised! He works at Southern Tractor, a John Deere dealership. And guess what he had at work! A wagon! Needless to say, once we put her in it, I couldn't get her out! She would throw a fit every time I tried to pick her up. She also really liked the snow globe on his desk. It had a tractor in it (John Deere of course) and played none other than "Farmer in the Dell".

She liked dancing to the music the snow globe played.
We had such a great day together!

Happy Birthday Gracie

This past Saturday Audrey Claire and I went to a birthday party for her friend Gracie. She is my friend Whitney's step-daughter. I really enjoyed getting to see Whitney, her family and friends. My camera battery died half-way through the party but I did manage to take a few pictures first.
Here's the birthday girl opening presents. Please notice Sam's face! Poor thing, he was the only boy surrounded by lots of girls.
Here's Whitney and Chris. Whitney is pregnant and due with a baby girl in April. I can't wait!
This is Whitney's brother Craig. Audrey Claire loved him holding her! She wouldn't go to anyone from him. And thankfully, Craig and his wife Anna's daughter had an extra hat and jacket for AC to wear. I didn't realize how cool the wind was outside and left the house without either!
Here's AC with Whitney's mom, Mrs. Sandra

Getting ready for the game- by Audrey Claire

So my parents didn't know this but I really like the Saints. My mom really isn't a football fan and she really doesn't get all the hype about the Saints playing the Vikings today. Well, it's time they see just how excited I am. And I know just what will do the trick-I will paint myself gold!

Mommy's makeup is perfect for this!
First I need a little gold on my clothes...
And just a little on my chin...
And can't forget to cover my hands...
I think I look pretty good. What do you think?
I'm done. You want a turn?

Date Night

Last night, my parents came down and had a play-date with Audrey Claire while Seth and I went on a date by ourselves. We really enjoyed being able to get out alone and have adult conversation! He even surprised me with a couples massage!

This would be Pops giving AC sweet tea. Surprisingly she went to bed without any problems!
She has him wrapped around her finger!
Trying on Pop's reading glasses. Don't worry, we didn't leave them on her long!
After looking at the pictures when we got home, I am not sure who had more fun, us or them.

Strolling with friends

Since the weather was so nice this week, we tried to get out of the house and do some strolling. One afternoon both Judah and Owen and their moms joined us. We all had a blast!

Somebody was excited to be sitting like a big boy in his stroller!

Gotta love the wind-blown look...
When we got the big girl car seat, we worried about her being able to sleep in it. As you can see, she's had no problems adjusting!
Don't you love the feet crossed? Such a lady...

Dinner with Jude and Drew

Earlier this week, we had supper with the Atkison's. We enjoyed amazing food thanks to Melanie and the kids had a blast playing together. Jude is a few months older than Audrey Claire and she seems to learn so much from him! I love when they get to play together.

Trying to give Drew his pacifier. Such a big girl!
What a cute face!
Silly boy!

Birthday parties

Audrey Claire had two birthday parties. The first was Sunday afternoon and the second was Monday afternoon. Since our house is so small, we had family at one and friends at the other. The parties were monkey themed (of course!). We had banana splits and banana bread.
My little monkey has been sick the past few days with a nasty cold so she felt pretty rough for both parties. She wouldn't take a nap either day before the party so we thought she would be no fun at all but we managed to have a little fun! Bear with me because this might get long, but here are some pics from both parties~

What a precious little monkey. This shows how she felt about getting dressed up and having a party...
This little monkey has a lot of boy friends! We would love one of these boys to be her husband one day!
Making banana splits-
Enjoying a yummy banana split-
I have more pictures but can't find them on the computer! I will add them once my honey gets home to help me.

Birthday girl

I still can't believe I have a one year old! Audrey Claire's birthday party isn't until this weekend but she did get to do a little celebrating on her birthday. Seth's dad and brother came to visit her Tuesday afternoon. She had a great time opening gifts, playing, and even got to have sweet tea at supper! Here are pictures from the afternoon~

Every child needs a good old fashion "corn popper" and she loves hers!
A slide for outside!
She has her own mailbox now in case any of you want to mail her something :)
Yummy sweet tea!
Enjoying her last bottle! She woke up the next morning and started taking a sippy cup. Told you she was a big girl!
Here's a video of my cousin Madison singing Happy Birthday to AC.
I love how she looks at the phone, looks around like "I know what I can do with this", then sticks it in the mailbox. We thought it was hilarious!
