Christmas Morning

Since we knew we wouldn't be at our house Christmas morning, we celebrated earlier this week. Here are some pictures from "Christmas morning" with Audrey Claire.
Opening her ornament for the year. We didn't even get a picture of the ornament itself. It is a little pink purse that says "Let's go shopping". That's all she's wanted to do lately!
Putting it on the tree.
Stocking stuffers!
Opening presents. She's pretty good at it now and can't wait for more at grandparent's houses!
Modeling Mommy's scarf. This is her "serious" face!
Now that the stockings are empty, let's put them on!
Or maybe it wasn't such a good idea...
Hope everyone's having a very Merry Christmas!

Lewis Lights

Earlier this week Seth, Lindsey and I took Audrey Claire to see Christmas lights in Purvis. Seth took lots of pictures for us so this is where I bore you with tons of pictures of lights :)
There were lights everywhere!
The Lewis Family Tree. It was a huge tree with an ornament for everyone on the family! Very cute.
Cute little church
For Memaw and Graypop- Santa on a John Deere!

Christmas Party at School

Last week Audrey Claire enjoyed her first Christmas party at school. It was a pajama party and they had a book swap. Here she is enjoying the party food~
Her teacher, "She-ya" (Sheila) brought her baby to the party. Needless to say, Baby Hope was a big hit at the party!
Opening her book~ "There's a Wocket in My Pocket"
"Cheese"
All the partying wore her out. She came home, had to eat her candy cane and here's how I found her~

Christmas around the Brown house

I've been meaning to post this for a while now but just haven't gotten around to doing it. A few weeks ago we had fun decorating our house for Christmas.
Rere and Pops were there to help out. While Pops and Seth went to get our tree, Audrey Claire and Rere made a picture frame.
Audrey Claire decided to "put herself" in the frame!
Helping Daddy with the tree.
The best part- putting ornaments on the tree.
Ta-da! She really did a good job putting them on there. IF you count putting all of them on one branch:)
This year is the 4th Christmas Seth and I have been married so we don't have that many decorations. Which is sort of a good thing since we don't have much space to put them up anyway. I do want to share some of my favorite ornaments with you though~

This is one I made sure to take with me when I left my parents house. Every year when I was younger, I looked forward to putting this one on the tree. Not sure why I liked it so much or where it came from but it's very special to me.
Seth brought this one back from Israel this past fall.
Last year's family ornament. (It does say 2009. Seth keeps telling me it looks like 2000.)
I bought this one last year since it was our first Christmas in our new house.
Another one from my childhood. The back of it says '89. It probably came from Sunday School.
I hope you enjoyed looking as much as I enjoyed sharing! I promise more Christmas posts are coming this week:) To say the least between school, being pregnant, and "The Great Stomach Virus of 2010", it's been a little crazy around the Brown house lately!

Fun in the Leaves

During Thanksgiving break, Audrey Claire and I enjoyed a girls morning while Seth caught up on school work. We (I) decided it was the perfect time to try the sponge rollers in her hair again. So we washed it and she patiently sat as I put them in her hair. I had all these ideas of getting her dressed up and taking pictures in the yard, etc... Then Seth took a break from studying and did this in the back yard-
FYI, a pile of leaves this size gets a 2 year old's attention pretty quickly. She immediately wanted to play in them. So, my photo shoot of my little girly-girl all dressed up turned into a photo shoot of her playing in the leaves. It's all about improvising with a 2 year old right?

Here she is running full speed straight for the leaves. Piper wanted to play too:)
She did help Daddy get the leaves in the garbage can after she was finished playing.

Sleeping

I would like to officially announce that Audrey Claire is sleeping all night in her big girl bed! We are very excited and she's pretty proud of herself too. The first thing she said this morning was "I seep (sleep) Audrey's bed! As mentioned before, it's been a long process but we are finally where we wanted to be! Now we have a few months of good sleep before our little BOY gets here:)

Nap time in the big girl bed has been a come and go situation. Sometimes she goes down great for a nap and other days she just doesn't take a nap. This morning she was "helping" Daddy do a little housework before nap time. She found something of interest in our closet and long story short, this is how I found her when I got home-
(Please notice the flip flops! Guess they needed a nap too?)
I tried to get her out of the hamper but she didn't want out! I at least managed to make her a little more comfy-
