Yesterday I went to Crystal Springs to get my little monkey. We enjoyed picking up Brookley at school and visiting with some of my elementary and jr. high teachers. I didn't take any pictures because we were just too busy talking to people!
Last night the girls of my family surprised my mom with a trip to Easely Amused in Jackson. My mom has wanted to go there for a while so we decided her birthday was the perfect time to go! Easely Amused in an instructor led painting class where they lead you step by step in creating a beautiful masterpiece. They advertise "No artistic ability is required" which is a good thing for us. I think the funniest thing I heard come from our group was this conversation:
One of us: "I think I need to come to the beginner's class next time"
The teacher: "This is the beginner's class"
Here are some of the girls before we left. Audrey Claire and Madison stayed back but we wanted them included in the pictures!
This child LOVES cats and dogs and Madison had both at her house.
After eating supper, we made ReRe cover her face so she didn't see where we were going.
Still wouldn't let her see when she got out of the car.
Yay! We get to paint!
Getting ready to start. The picture is not centered because I tried to cut out the people at the end and forgot to crop the picture. Whoops!
In the beginning stages... Michelle already getting help! But in her defense, I had to get help with my flower too. I have never been able to draw flower petals much less paint them free-handed.
They had lots of quotes on the wall and this was my favorite-
Here's mine in the beginning...
The finished product-
The whole crazy group with our fabulous creations
One of my favorite people who I don't get to see enough!
Me and my mom
I don't get to spend time with my family like I wish I could. It was so nice to get to visit with them! After painting, Audrey Claire and I spent the night with Madison, Michelle and Daniel. Then, this morning Audrey Claire got to go to Wesson for the day while Mommy went to the good ol' Simpson County Justice Court to "discuss" a speeding ticket with the judge which is totally another story for another time. Anyway, she should be home any minute and I can't wait to see her!
Looks like ya'll had a great time. i'm going there next week with a friend. I'm so excited! Your pics are so cute!
