I am still unable to upload pictures to the computer. Seth updated our computer and now it will not recognize my camera! He has tried several times to figure out a way to fix it but has been unsuccessful. But my blogging must go on!
September 12th, my sweet little monkey turned 8 months old! She can do so many new things and I know you are dying to know what she is up to these days. I do have a few pictures that I can add to this post. Here is what she is up to these days-
She has learned how to pull down the bumper pad in her crib. Most of the time when it's time for her to go to bed, we just lay her down and she goes on to sleep. Once she gets quiet, I go in her room to make sure she is ok and asleep. This is what I have seen several times lately.
As posted before, she has a precious new friend, Owen. He is already growing and changing. We love him so much!
This may not seem like a big deal but to me it's a huge step. Since she was born, she loved her pacifier, especially when she was going to sleep, but couldn't keep it in her mouth. She would spit it out then cry until I put it back in her mouth. But now she is a pro! She can keep it in her mouth so much better.
Ok, no more pictures. Use your wonderful imagination to "see" my monkey doing these things!
- She has gone from eating in her Bumbo seat to a high-chair. She can also feed herself. (Not baby food, just puffs!) When it's time for a snack, I put her in her high-chair and give her a few puffs and she is a happy camper!
- She is doing great with baby food again! This makes a momma SO happy. Some of her favorites are bananas, applesauce, pears, green beans, squash and sweet potatoes.
- She is talking more these days. As you saw in last week's video, her favorite thing to say is "Dada"
- She LOVES to play peek-a-boo. We have had some really fun times playing this with her!
My precious little monkey is growing up so fast! And I know time is only going to go by faster the older she gets. It makes me sad when I go shopping and have to buy 9-12 month size clothes! I see little newborn things and think "I am supposed to be buying this size". But then I remember how much fun she is getting to be and I know it's only going to get better!
