Home Again

This past Friday we took a quick trip to Crystal Springs. Our first stop was Madison's house. Since it was my birthday, she made me a cake. She was very proud of herself!
Of course I had to blow out the "candles"!
Next we headed to Annie's parents house. Annie and Matthew were here because Annie's grandfather passed away Thursday night. We hated the circumstances but were really happy to get to see them. Audrey Claire really enjoyed showing off all of her new tricks. Here she is winking at somebody.
Jackie came by to visit too. Audrey Claire wasn't excited to have to share the rocking chair!
ReRe and Pops came by to visit. Mrs. Sally had puppets leftover from Bible School so ReRe entertained AC. She loved the puppets! (For some reason, Miss Priss wanted her clothes off. Guess she was hot!)
Saturday morning, we went to the Crystal Springs Tomato Festival. Check back tomorrow for pics from that!

Lately

Here lately we've been on the go ALOT! We've been back and forth between Hattiesburg, Crystal Springs, and Wesson. Here are pictures from all over~

Enjoying some good Sonic ice
Playing in ReRe's pool (not her favorite thing to do, unlike last summer)
Cousins Shelby and Brookley enjoying a slush
Annie and Matthew came home for a very quick trip and we were SO excited to see them!
Jackie came to visit while we were at Annie's house. We had not seen her since her wedding in December! ***Please enjoy this RARE picture of me:)***
Pretty girls!
Uncle Tucker came to stay with us a few days last week and we all went to the park to play for a little while.
Memaw introduced AC to riding around the farm. I promise this child would ride 24/7 if we let her.
Chatting with GrayPop
Checking out the cows
Hanging out at ReRe and Pops' house. Another rare picture of me!
As you can tell, we have really enjoyed getting to go home to visit. When school is going on, Seth doesn't get much time off so we are taking advantage of the time we have now!

Louisville

Seth and I had an amazing trip to Louisville. We really enjoyed visiting with Matthew and Annie as well as some of their seminary friends. We played games, ate, and just sat around catching up with each other's lives.
Matthew and Annie had to work during the day so Seth and I got to explore the city a little on our own. We enjoyed having lunch dates and just adult time in general! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my little monkey, but it was nice to have a quiet meal and "big people" conversation.

Here we are enjoying a nice game of Scattergories. We had lots of fun with this game. Especially when Seth somehow got mixed up and completely used the wrong letter for an entire round. (But shhh, don't tell him I told you!)

Here's "Fourth Street Live" Normally, this is the place to be at night. However, when the temps are in the low teens, it should be called "Fourth Street Dead". I am pretty sure we saw no one while walking around that night.
We drove into Indiana to get a good look at the city lit up at night time. It was truly beautiful. You can't really see it, but the Ohio River is what is between us and Louisville in these pictures.
Love them :)
This was the first night we drove into Indiana to see the city. We wanted to take pictures but forgot the camera!
Here are pictures of our trip to Churchill Downs. In case you don't know (because I didn't), this is where the Kentucky Derby takes place. It's kind of a big deal up there :)

It was beautiful!
This was the day before we left. That lake behind us is one huge sheet of ice!
I forgot to mention how COLD it was up there. (In case you couldnt't tell from the scarves, hats, and jackets in the pics) Oh my goodness. When we woke up in the morning, it was usually 10-11 degrees with a wind chill in the negatives and didn't get above 30 the entire time we were there! I was excited when I heard how cold it was going to be because all I could imagine was snow everywhere and sledding down big hills. Well, that didn't happen. Because it didn't start snowing until literally two hours after we left. Not two days, two hours. But I wasn't mad about it. Not at all...
Ok I was really mad. I mean two hours? COME ON. It could've waited until the next day at least. But two hours?! Ugh. And they still have snow on the ground. Oh well.

As you can see, we got to see a lot! We had a blast but were ready to get home to see Audrey Claire. She was just as excited to see us as we were her. The other thing that got her immediate attention was her wagon! Even though it was way past her bedtime when we got home, she had to ride.
Here she is saying "Uh". Which means GO. NOW.
Oh and by the way, my little monkey turns 1 tomorrow! Can you believe it? I absolutely can not! Stay tuned for pictures and a monthly update...

My First Christmas

Audrey Claire had a very busy and exciting "First Christmas". Let me go ahead and warn you this post will be long. I had to narrow down the 95 pictures I took to just a few for you to see!
Have you seen the movie "Four Christmases"? Well, in a way, I completely relate with Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn because that's exactly how many Christmases we went to. In a time span of about 36 hours! So that explains the 95 pictures. Take a deep breath and let's get started...

We started in Jackson at Mawmaw June's house. Audrey Claire enjoyed visiting with some of Seth's family and opening gifts, which she really got in to. Most importantly though, she enjoyed playing with Georgie (the dog). And she has started saying "dog" now. Well, her version of "dog". I put a video at the end of the post of her saying "dog" and calling the dog. Some of Audrey Claire's gifts in Jackson were baby dolls, a stroller, a ball, and a cute little monkey!

Here are a few of the pics from Christmas Eve-
Let the unwrapping begin...
(FYI- Seth was in a tie because he was a pallbearer in a funeral earlier that day. Our family get-togethers are not that formal! )

We spent the night in Jackson and actually slept late Christmas morning. (If you call 8:00 late!) Once we were up we headed to Crystal Springs to visit my family and open gifts with them. Here, Audrey Claire got a new movie, some barrettes, clothes, a sippy cup, and more! We had a big lunch there then headed to Brookhaven!

Here are some pictures from CS-
The kids opened gifts before we got there so AC had lots of helpers...
Trying to get her pants on!
Somebody finally helped her get them on!
Showing Pawpaw how to drive...
All of the Lang grandchildren

While in Brookhaven, we visited with more of Seth's family and opened more gifts. Audrey Claire got a new piggy bank, more baby dolls, and a Dippin' Dot maker. Seth joked and said he was quiting his job and opening a Dippin' Dot booth at the mall! I think he might need to stick to the cell phone business though.

Here are pics from that visit-
Um, GiGi, that baby is crying. Can you make it stop?
Trying to feed the baby
Loving the baby
Trying to "grab" the light coming through the window...
Still trying to catch the light...

Our next stop was Wesson for the last of Seth's family. It was getting late by this point but Audrey Claire did great. She played and opened gifts like a pro!
Memaw is so funny!
Annie and Matthew stopped by on their journey from Brookhaven to CS. Memaw loves her some Matthew and Annie and was very excited when they surprised her! So was Audrey Claire as you can tell by her face in this picture!
Hunter playing Santa and giving everyone their gifts.
Wondering what her favorite gift of the day was?

What could it be?

One of the baby dolls?

No...

Her basketball goal????

Nope....

Clothes??????

Not that either.....

BABY WIPES! YAY!!
Haha... That is by far my favorite picture of the day!
So as you can see, we are blessed with LOTS of family who love us and our precious little girl. My little monkey had an amazing first Christmas. It was so much fun and I feel so blessed to be her Mommy and get to celebrate times like this with her!

Here's the video:
