Come Fly With Me

The reason we went to Cleveland last week was to see my brother compete in the flight competition held at Delta State. This wasn't the first time I saw him fly but oh my it's crazy to see him do it! It seems like just yesterday we were little kids and now he is FLYING an airplane! I absolutely, with all my heart, HATE flying! There is just something about being in a huge piece of metal that weighs a ton floating through the air that doesn't settle well with me. But he loves it, so I gotta support him. He got 2nd place in one event and 3rd in another! His team did well enough to be able to go to nationals in the Spring which is good!

Sorry I don't have many pictures. You see, what happened was I was videoing him first then decided to take pictures. Somehow between videoing and taking pictures, I got confused and lost him. He was flying the green plane and somehow I ended up with several awesome shots of a red plane:)

Here they are lined up before taking off. I believe he is the one on the left, not the one in the center. He was number 2 in line. (Or at least I think he was. He can correct me if I am wrong)

Here he in the SKY. How crazy is that? My brother, FLYING AN AIRPLANE! Still blows my mind.

Here they are parking the plane. And yes, there are girl pilots! You can see one on his team in this picture.

And here she is about 3 minutes later. All I had to do was give her the blankie and she was out! Oh and did I mention it was cold? There is nothing to block that Delta wind. But no worries. As you can see AC is bundled up good!

This next picture was just a funny sight to me. Since these are small planes, they can roll them to manuever them around on the ground. It looks like this guy is walking his pet plane to me.
