I knew the day would come- the day when Audrey Claire drew on the walls. It has officially happened! For the past week, all she wants to do is "cuh-cuh" (color). All day long that's what I hear. If I get out a pen to write something down, she thinks it's for her to color with. I've been meaning to take pictures of her coloring to blog about so I guess this was her way of making sure I did just that. I heard Seth say, "Uh-oh. Mommy, come here." I immediately knew what had happened. I walked into the hall and found this~

and this~

I couldn't get too mad at her because one, I gave her the crayon and two, I let her roam freely around the house with it. So, we stood by the artwork and I firmly but calmly explained to her that we do not draw on the wall. She just kept saying "Uh-oh" and pointing at it. She knew exactly what she did was wrong. I told her if she did it again she would get a spanking. Right after the talk, Seth took her to change her diaper. In the process of that, she asked for a wipe-a real common thing for her to ask for. She loves to play with them. It wasn't one minute after he put her down that I hear "Mommy, come here" again. Immediately I thought she was coloring the wall again. I was pleasantly surprised to find this~

She took her wipe was trying to clean up her mess. Even though the crayon didn't come off, I must say I was very proud of my big girl! I just wish disciplining her was this easy all the time.
ah! how precious!! there's no way you can get upset at that sweet face :)
