Beach Mini-Vacation

A little over a week ago, my family had a trip to Orange Beach planned. I really wanted to go but didn't want to leave Seth. Audrey Claire kept begging me so I finally gave in:) I mean after all, the baby knew she needed new fall clothes, plus Madison was gonna be there. So after breakfast at Waffle House we followed Daniel, Michelle, and Madison down there. Once we were there we did a little shopping. Ok, we did a lot of shopping. It was a tax free weekend down there! Poor Audrey thought she could keep up with her momma but before we were done, she was knocked out in the stroller. Good thing she is such a good baby. We were in and out of stores and it wasn't cool by any means, and she never fussed. I think she already realizes the less she fusses, the longer we shop which means more stuff for her. She also knew that ReRe and Pops were available for purchases too so she was acting even sweeter.

That night we walked to the beach for a few minutes. And by few I mean like two. She loved watching the waves crash. However, they weren't so cool when I put her down and let the water touch her. How cute is she with her sunglasses on? (BTW, I had a swim suit on under my tank top that tied in the back. I know it looks like it, but I do not have a huge knot on my back!)
She is her mother's child. By that I mean she loves water but is not a fan of the sand. I knew she would like the pool so we headed there next. She LOVED splashing and watching Madison play.
The next morning we went to the beach one more time to watch Madison play in the waves. It was getting really close to nap time and I guess watching Madison and the sun wore her out. She was so sweet. Instead of fussing, (told you she was good!) she kept laying her head down on my mom's head like this:
We didn't even make it back to the condo before she was out.
We got her back up to the room and in the bed and she didn't make a peep for a while!
Overall we had a fun but quick trip. We headed home Saturday night so we could go to church with Daddy Sunday morning!
